Bangalore Yatri Nivas

Sarvamangala Charitable Trust is a Private Family Trust created with the objective of creating a Shelter for Pilgrims visiting Pandharpur, the Bhu Vaikunta of Sri Hari Vithala.

This initiative was conceptualised by five Mahila Devotees with the assistance of Parama Pujya Guruvarya Ha.Bha.Pa. Sri Prabhakara Bodhale Maharaj of Sri Kshetra Pandharpur.

Accordingly, a piece of land consisting of 10 guntas was procured in the year 19….  at Pandharpur.  The purchase was funded entirely by donations from the devotees.  Thereafter, it was decided to bring all activities under one umbrella organisation called “Sarvamangala Dharma Samstha” in 1997

Initially, the above Samstha was formed with …… members with the following Founder Members

Smt. Jayalakshmi as Vice President

Smt. V Kalavathi as Secretary

The Bhumi Puja was performed by Pujya Guruvarya Ha.Bha.Pa. Sri Prabhakar Bodhale Maharaj

The task of designing and developing the Bangalore Yatri Nivas was assigned to the four engineers who are members of the Samstha.  A task force consisting of the Trust members was formed to take up construction on the site.  Accordingly, the construction work was entrusted to ….. contractors, a leading construction company based in Sholapur.  The Task force not only managed the construction but also ensured timely completion with quality

The first phase of the building on Ground, 1st & 2nd Floor comprising of 27 rooms with attached bathrooms was completed in a record time of ………

The Yatri Nivas was profoundly inaugurated on …………. By the gracious hands of Guruvarya H.B.P. Sri Prabhakara Bodhale Maharaj in the presence of all the Office Bearers

Thereafter, the “Sarvamangala Dharma Samstha” felt the dire need of a Keertan Hal at the premises for Mass Parayan, Pravachan, Keerthan, Sangeeth Bhajans etc.,  As the premises had a vacant open land in the front measuring 55ft x 60ft, it was decided to put up a Keerthan Hall adjoining the existing building and also to increase the room capacity.

A column free Keertan Hall structure measuring 40ft x 60ft on the ground floor and a dining hall on top came up.  A small Sanctum Sanctorum Mandir dedicated to Radha & Krishna was also created in a prime position in the Keerthan Hall.  The statue of Radha and Krishna is carved in Jaipur Marble creates a perfect backdrop for all religious activities be it Keerthan, Bhajan, Pravachan etc.,

The 2nd Phase of the construction was completed and inaugurated by Guruvarya H.B.P. Sri Prabhakara Bodhale Maharaj in the presence of all the Office Bearers and Trustee Members along with many devotees who came to witness the once in a lifetime spectacle.
